External‑Thread Hexagonal‑Housing Recessed‑Cavity Sintered Hermetic Connector Base

This sintered hermetic connector base combines three structural features in one body: an external thread, a hexagonal housing, and a recessed cavity. The external thread is intended for threaded mounting, while the hexagonal housing provides flat wrench contact faces during tightening. The recessed cavity sits at the sealing face, where the sintered glass-to-metal seal is formed. Because the thread and the hex are both part of the housing, the base can be seated directly into a tapped port without a separate adapter. This layout is often chosen where a base must be threaded into a wall or housing and sealed at the same time. The recessed cavity sets the sealing face back from the housing end, giving the sealing area a layer of housing enclosure around it. From a manufacturing standpoint, bases with both threaded and hexagonal features demand consistent machining.
